Campfirmation:

This year was my last time being a camper at Love of Christ's summer confirmation camp. It was a blast! Our theme was "Lost and Found". All of our discussions and devotions were based on that theme. Amidst all of our discussions, worship services and devotion times, we also had tons of fun. The ropes course, zip line and free time all added up to make a great time at Higher Ground. The last night of camp is always very meaningful. This year we relived the story of the of the prodigal son. Nathan took us out to a dump near the camp and we had worship there. We sat on pieces of cardboard during the service. At the end of the service, we took our cardboard, which represented our sins, and threw it away. We did this one by one. After we threw it away we walked back to our meeting room. The walk back was so cool because you were alone with God. After you got back to the room there was a huge Welcome Home Party waiting there for you just like the prodigal son. That night was very moving. Camp was full of fun. All of the JC's (Junior Counselors), adults, and other kids were great. We all  had an awesome time. I look forward to going again as a JC.
