MY TIROSH EXPERIENCE

When I got to the Tirosh retreat I thought it would be stupid, but I soon found out that I would have fun and get closer to God. We started off with 'meditations' which were talks given by others on the weekend. Some of them were just so touching; you couldn't help but get closer to God. Then, when we all would go out and sing with just the guys, it felt like I belonged there. The music and songs were awesome. The thing that really made me feel like I belonged there was that you were judged for you - you didn't have to put on an attitude to survive there. The meditations were long but awesome. One that Casey did was really touching and made a few of us teary eyed. Then when this other man came up to say a speech that he wrote, I thought "Oh no, an old guy. This is going to be so boring". But it wasn't. I would have to say, that it was the most touching story that I have heard in all my life. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place and if there was, it was because they just got done wiping them. These are just some of the reasons why I felt that Tirosh was an awesome, and inspiring weekend. It really helped me realize that God is always there for us. It really made me feel so much closer to God. + + + |
